National Cupcake Day 2017

14 June 2017

I's Alzheimer's Society's National Cupcake Day today, and we spent last night putting some yummy creations together. It's safe to say that some of the Team staff are slightly more talented in the kitchen than others, which you'll see when we share photos later...

We thought we'd share some of the recipes we used in case you'd like some inspiration for baking with the family. It's such a fun activity where children can get really creative, while working towards an end 'goal' and understanding patience (probably a bit better than we do!)

For beginners, it's great to start with this basic Vanilla Cupcake recipe.
Grab some sprinkles or chocolate buttons and let the family create their own toppings!

If you're up for a little bit more of a challenge, why not try these thes Cookie Monster Cupcakes - there's a little less room for personalising the cakes but they look fantastic! Our favourite has to go to the Reese's Peanut Butter Cups Cupcakes.

Keep your eyes peeled for pictures of our attempts.
We'd love to see pictures of your creations, send them to us here or via our Facebook Page for us to share.

Happy baking!
