National Poetry Day

For National Poetry Day, we tasked our extraordinarily talented carers and children to come up with some words which summed up life with Team Fostering. 

Here are the fantastic creations they came up with:

A Team That Builds A Home!

It takes more than just one pair of hands,

To lift a life, to help them stand.

A circle formed, a bond so true,

Together, there’s nothing we can’t do.

The child arrives with eyes unsure,

But here, they find a heart secure.

Not just one, but many care,

A team that’s ready to be there.

We each bring something to the fold,

Some bring warmth, while others hold.

A steady plan, a guiding way,

To help them face another day.

One listens close, one dries the tears,

One holds the weight of whispered fears.

We life as one, we share the load,

Together walking this long road.

For fostering is not just one,

But many hearts, beneath one sun.

A team that loves, a team that strives,

To build a home and change their lives.

And when the child is ready to soar,

They’ll know it wasn’t one, but more.

A team that stood, that fostered all,

And gave them roots, and a loving place.

We can’t begin to imagine

” Will they be patient, calm and kind?”

Do you feel that you are falling?

That no-one understands?

That your life is not your own?

It’s in other people’s hands?

Are you scared about your future?

Are you trying to forget the past?

Do you feel you have no voice?

And things are happening so fast?

Do you feel your life is so mixed up?

And there’s no happy times in sight?

Do you feel there’s darkness all around?

When all you want is light

In the heart of every dream,  

A spark is lit, a guiding gleam.  

Together we rise, hand in hand,  

To foster hope across the land.

A team united, strong and true,  

We nurture visions, old and new.  

With every step, we plant the seed,  

Of care, of trust, of those in need.

Through stormy skies or brightest day,  

We walk as one, come what may.  

Each voice a thread, each soul a part,  

We weave the world with open heart.

In every challenge, we grow bold,  

A tale of love and strength retold.  

Together we build, together we dream,
