Beginning your assessment journey
If you are invited to apply, you will receive an application form and other documents which you will need to complete.
Submission and background checks
Submission of required documents initiates Stage 1, a 1-2 month period for essential background checks and references. This includes personal, employment, medical, and enhanced DBS checks, along with detailed lifestyle assessments. You’ll also attend preparation training, where you’ll meet other foster carers and receive guidance from our Recruitment team.
Form F Assessment
Moving into Stage 2, you’ll be assigned a Form F Assessor to compile your Form F, highlighting your skills and experience for suitable placements. This stage typically lasts up to 3 months, ensuring thorough assessment and alignment for future fostering opportunities.
Panel review and approval
Upon completion of Stage 2, your Form F will undergo review by our panel of experts. This panel evaluates your suitability for fostering based on the assessment. Once approved, you’ll be notified of the decision, marking the culmination of the assessment process and the beginning of your journey as a certified foster carer with us.
