Don't change your life. Share it

You might have seen recent national advertising highlighting the need for more foster carers. Could you share your life with a child who needs a safe, loving home?

Aside from a few basic criteria we have a wide range of people fostering with Team Fostering. From single people to same sex couples, people who have their own children at home or those who’ve never had children at all as well as different ages or race.

They all have different life experience that makes them great foster carers, but what they all have in common is a desire to make a difference. They see the importance of the small things – the daily routines, relationships and consistency for children and the small moments that show positive change.

Meet our foster carers

There are lots of different routes into fostering and it’s important you find the right one for you. Our foster carers do the best job of explaining what it’s like fostering for a not-for profit agency like Team Fostering so here are some of their stories for you to read.

You can also read stories from some of our care leavers who talk about the way they were integrated into family life, and the impact this had on their feeling of belonging.

Tom's story

Care leaver Tom describes how foster carer Helen laid the foundations for him to become the adult he is today. As well as how Team Fostering gave them both all the support they needed.
