Team Adventure – helping young people thrive through innovative, adventure-based support.
At Team Fostering we are always looking for ways we can enhance and improve our offer to children and foster carers. One of our newest projects is Team Adventure, which uses adventure-based activities to engage young people and enable them to thrive in school and at home.

The support aims to help young people to:
- Develop new skills
- Overcome challenges
- Build resilience
- Develop trust
- Connect with nature
- Build confidence
- Improve wellbeing, and
- Improve communication.

Through Team Adventure, we can offer a variety of different activities and tailor the support to the needs and interests of the young person. We are also able to deliver the National Indoor Climbing Award Scheme (NICAS), which enables young people to develop skill and competence, which is accredited through this nationally recognised scheme. One of our young people has recently completed the Level 2 NICAS bouldering award. This is such an excellent achievement and we are so proud of for him.
The service has received excellent feedback from children, foster carers, schools and social workers. We are currently investing in staff training, and hope that this will enable us to expand the range of activities and opportunities which we can offer to children and young people.
