Enquiry Process

If you’ve done your research, are happy that you meet our eligibility criteria and would like to discuss becoming a foster carer with Team Fostering, the first stage is making an enquiry with us.

Starting your journey with Team Fostering Today!

From initial enquiry through to the assessment period, we will support and guide you throughout whole process.

Step 1 – Enquiry

Initially, a member of our recruitment team will review some introductory details with you, gaining insight into your suitability for fostering. This conversation will occur over the phone, affording you the chance to inquire about any aspects you wish. We aim to accommodate this initial call within your existing schedule or work commitments. If, following this discussion, both you and Team Fostering agree to proceed, we will schedule an initial home visit.

Step 2 – Initial home visit

An assessor will conduct your home visit. This face-to-face meeting allows us to gain a deeper understanding of your background, lifestyle, experience, and skills. Additionally, it provides an opportunity for us to assess the environment where you may offer foster care to a young person.

Step 3 – Invite to apply

If our assessor determines that proceeding to assessment is suitable, we will reach out to you within 2 days of your visit with a formal “invite to apply.” You will receive a link to our online application form for completion. Throughout the process, our recruitment team will be available to assist you with any enquiries or support you may require.
